The Department of Fundamental Neurosciences of the University of Lausanne invites applications for a Postdoc position in the research group of Prof Sophie Croizier. The Croizier lab works on the development of hypothalamic circuits controlling energy and glucose homeostasis. Contract length: 1 year, renewable, maximum 4 years.

Your responsibilities
The successful candidate will work on the embryonic development of hypothalamic neurocircuits in mice. This work will rely on multidisciplinary approaches including histological techniques (immunohistochemistry and RNAscope in situ hybridization), microscopy/image analysis, transcriptomics, in utero gain and loss of function, in vitro approaches, and organ physiology.
Your qualifications
In order to complete our team, we are looking for someone with the following skills:
• Strong knowledge in neurodevelopmental biology in rodents (brain and autonomic nervous system)
• Experience in histological approaches,
• Experience in manipulation of embryos and adult mice,
• Experience in transcriptomics would be an asset
• Authorization for animal experimentation is advised,
• Motivated, dynamic, and enthusiastic collaborator with a PhD thesis in life science, interested in working in a highly interactive environment,
• Excellent command of oral and written English.
