The Opportunity
The BU Data Management and Digital Interface Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all data-related activities to foster the digital transformation of the Grid Integration Business Unit. This role involves leading and collaborating with key stakeholders to align the Business Unit's data management strategy with business objectives, enabling seamless digital transformation and operational excellence through continuous improvement and innovation in data management practices. The Data Management and Digital Interface Manager ensures data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established Hitachi Energy standards and policies, and develops a community and network supporting the business unit and company data governance initiatives.
How You’ll Make an Impact

Strategic Alignment: Represent the business unit to ensure data strategies and priorities align with the overall business and data governance strategies

Data Operations: Serve as the primary point of contact for all data-related requests within the business unit, focusing on data creation, maintenance, and operational processes

Instructions and Standards: Establish and enforce data management instructions, standards, and rules within the business unit

Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with data standards and monitor the implementation of new data standards

Collaboration: Work closely with Data Domain Owners, Stewards, Custodians, and Governance Specialists, representing business unit leadership to address data issues and support data-related projects

Community Development: Build and maintain a relevant network and community around data across the business unit, including the GPG (Global Product Group), regional hubs, and local units, functions, and disciplines

Drive Data Management: Act as a key enabler for BU data objects' compliance with strategy, digital transformation, and a unified data modelling approach
Your Background

Leadership or management experience involving multiple key stakeholders

Strong understanding of data management principles and practices

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to manage multiple data-related projects and initiatives

Experience with data governance and compliance

Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good to have: Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or similar

Over 10 years of experience in the field
