Akselos is a pioneering Swiss technology company headquartered at the EPFL Innovation Park in Lausanne, with operations in Southeast Asia, the USA, and Europe. We are the creators of the world’s fastest and most advanced digital simulation technology for structural analysis, focused on protecting the world’s most critical energy infrastructure. Our cutting-edge software powers Digital Twins of large-scale industrial assets, helping energy leaders optimize performance, extend asset life, and support the transition to a low-carbon future.
About the Role
This is not a traditional marketing role. It requires a very specific background at the intersection of event logistics, technical content creation, and B2B marketing in energy, offshore engineering, or digital twin software. This is a hands-on, highly autonomous position suited for candidates who are willing to operate independently, manage field logistics across time zones, and craft communication strategies aimed at senior technical decision-makers in Oil & Gas, Offshore Wind, and Industrial Software sectors.
The role involves extensive international travel to challenging environments, frequent coordination across departments with high expectations, and deep involvement in industrial marketing strategy, including technical content production.
Key Responsibilities 1. Industry Event Strategy & Execution
- Design and execute Akselos' presence at international Oil & Gas events such as ADIPEC, OTC, SPE conferences, and other sector-specific technical forums.
- Coordinate end-to-end logistics for Oil & Gas and offshore energy events, including booth design, technical speaker preparation, messaging alignment, post-event reporting, and budget management.
- Identify and assess sponsorship and partnership opportunities at Oil & Gas, Offshore Wind, and industrial engineering events and forums, ensuring alignment with Akselos’ strategic goals in structural simulation, asset integrity, and digital twin adoption.
- Ensure executive participation and technical representation at key conferences in the Oil & Gas, Offshore Wind, and industrial asset integrity sectors, positioning Akselos as a global thought leader in structural simulation, predictive maintenance, and digital twin technology.
2. Sector-Focused Marketing Campaigns
- Develop and deploy targeted marketing programs tailored to upstream, midstream, and downstream Oil & Gas operators, offshore wind developers, and EPCs.
- Localize and adapt messaging across technical buyer personas, considering regulatory, environmental, social, and governance requirements, and operational challenges in key global regions (Middle East, North America, North Sea).
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams, particularly in structural, simulation, and asset integrity engineering, to develop high-impact technical marketing assets including white papers, case studies, and solution briefs.
3. Strategic Engagement & Lead Generation
- Lead industry roundtables, VIP dinners, and closed-door executive briefings with strategic customers and partners.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with energy associations, event organizers, technical societies, and innovation clusters relevant to Akselos' verticals.
- Track return on investment across all campaigns and events in the Oil & Gas, Offshore Wind, and industrial asset integrity sectors, using data to refine targeting, improve MQL-to-SQL conversion, and enhance visibility in strategic markets.
4. Market Intelligence & Positioning
- Monitor industry shifts including digital twin adoption, asset integrity regulations, and energy transition investments.
- Support strategic positioning efforts by feeding insights back into Akselos' product and go-to-market strategies.
- Benchmark against competitors in the space (simulation, predictive maintenance, Asset Performance Management software) and identify unique value drivers.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in event marketing or sector-specific communications within the Oil & Gas, Energy, or Industrial Engineering sectors, with direct exposure to simulation software, digital twins, Finite Element Analysis software, or asset integrity solutions.
- Strong command of technical and commercial language in energy, digitalization, asset integrity, and simulation software is mandatory
- Proven success in executing and optimizing complex industrial events and conferences at an international level.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in the energy or industrial sector, including sales, engineers, executives, and third-party vendors such as conference organizers, PR agencies, designers, and technical content providers.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) at a native or near-native level, with strong command of technical vocabulary related to simulation software and energy operations
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), event management platforms, and standard design or Customer Relationship Management platforms.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to deliver under tight deadlines with limited supervision.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, international outlook, and passion for industrial innovation.
Preferred Qualifications
This position is highly specialized and requires all of the following qualifications:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or Engineering, with a specialization in the energy or technology sectors.
- Prior experience working with global event agencies or organizing exhibitions in high-stakes industrial environments.
- In-depth knowledge of digital twin technology, structural simulation, or asset performance management (APM) software is mandatory.
- Knowledge of global energy market dynamics, including ESG trends, digital transformation, and decarbonization policies.
Why Join Akselos?
- Join a mission-driven tech company at the forefront of digital transformation in energy.
- Work on meaningful projects that protect critical infrastructure and support a safer, more sustainable energy future.
- Be part of a collaborative, international team with a shared vision for innovation.
