About the role
Location: Baar, Switzerland as per our local hybrid policy
You will report to the Head of Medical, EU
What you'll do:
- as Friedreich Ataxia (FA) International Center of Excellence (ICOE) Medical Lead you will partner with regional medical teams & affiliates on critical path priorities including launch readiness, where applicable, for Europe and Biogen Intercontinental Region (BIR) key markets
- Partner as Subject Matter Expert with cross functional partners (Commercial, Value & Access) to support critical projects part of ICOE tactics
- Supporting as Subject Matter Expert (SME) training activities provided to countries in the context of launch readiness and data read outs
- Identify critical gaps in either data or patient journey in FA across Europe and BIR key markets
- Provide medical research review as SME for of IIRs and CRs for both regions (EU and BIR)
- Develop and/or support specific content development in line with regional priorities
- Provide strategic input and regional perspective into LCM and global TA strategy
- Map TOP KMEs in alignment with the region medical teams and engage with them across regions, as per ICOE medical tactics (congress engagement, etc)
Who you are:
You gained prior launch experience. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and execution. Proven experience in liaising with senior leadership and external partners. Strong ability in working in a matrix organization. Ability to optimize and allocate resources effectively in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- Education: MD/MSc/PhD
- Minimum 5 years relevant years medical work experience.
- Launch experience
- Preference rare disease experience
- Prior gained above country experience a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and execution.
- Proven experience in liaising with senior leadership and external partners.
- Strong ability in working in a matrix organization
- Ability to optimize and allocate resources effectively in a dynamic environment.
