Finance Associate (100%)

We are a lean team with a flat organisation. You will report to the Finance Lead and will work closely with the finance and operations teams in Zug.

Responsibilities

Accounting and Controlling

• Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closings


• Booking and reconciliation of bank accounts, portfolios, and crypto transactions


• Prepare, reconcile and file VAT returns (e.g. Swiss)


• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets


• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making


• Coordinate with compliance and regulatory teams to ensure adherence to relevant laws and standards


• Help with audits and tax preparation 


• Partaking in financial process improvements 


• Oversee accounts payables and receivables (fiat and crypto-currencies)

Treasury and Asset Management

• Assist in managing liquidity and cash buffers


• Support the lead in projects related to treasury operations Support the lead in projects related to treasury operations 


• Assist Treasury and Asset Management function in ad hoc tasks

Requirements 

• 2-3 years of proven experience in finance and/or accounting, preferably in crypto or tech industries


• Apprenticeship (kaufmännische Ausbildung) and/or bachelor's degree in a relevant field


• Familiarity with Swiss accounting and auditing standards


• Proficiency in MS and/or Google work tools


• Self determined, problem solver and innovative 


• Result orientated with a high attention to detail and dedication towards quality and improvement


• Excellent time management and organisational skills, ability to prioritize and multitask


• Excellent communication skills in English, German is a plus.

A Plus

• Previous experience with Abacus or similar accounting tools


• Previous experience in project management


• Familiarity and/or experience with handling crypto wallets, payments and transactions


• A strong interest in the Web 3.0 movement, blockchain and other decentralized technologies
