We are seeking an experienced and competent Campus Security Coordinator, ideally qualified as a Workplace Safety Specialist (MSST). The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the security field, preferably in schools, hotels, or recreational centers, with strong knowledge of safety and health regulations.
Main Requirements:
- Secondary school diploma, ideally with specialization in life safety, first aid, health and safety (SHE), or experience as a member of a police force.
- Relevant experience in security, with a strong focus on emergency and security systems.
- Ability to manage crises, conflicts, or emergencies in a safe, professional, and effective manner.
- Strong decision-making abilities, communication skills, and the ability to handle unforeseen situations.
- Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written. Other languages are a plus.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications and ability to work with student information systems (training will be provided).
- Clean criminal record.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure that students, employees, and visitors on campus can live, study, and work in a safe and secure environment, fully compliant with Swiss legislation and company policies.
- Act as the primary contact for the external security provider and coordinate overall campus security measures.
- Ensure that emergency response systems are operational and establish strong professional relationships with local authorities such as civil protection, municipal and cantonal police, fire services, and hospitals.
- Promote and disseminate safety information to students and staff; lead first aid courses and contribute to a culture of active prevention.
- Assist students during emergencies and act as an intermediary with local authorities.
- Identify and report student conduct violations and support investigations.
- Support campus operations and infrastructure departments in security and fire system projects.
- Participate in event organization, overseeing all aspects of security and safety.
- Assist with various tasks during student check-in and check-out periods.
