Job Description
Introduction of the team
The Sustainable Investing Team is responsible for performing Sustainability assessments of companies and Sovereign issuers as well as performing due diligence and reporting for our products. It supports fund managers in their understanding of sustainability, adhere and implement new regulations and develops tool to improve the integration of sustainability related risk and opportunities in investment selection. The team is also responsible for engagement activities and the definition methodologies to integrate sustainability into portfolio construction. It also produces written research, including articles, reports and internal communication on sustainability topics and interact with internal colleagues on sustainability topics and support the broader EFGI Corporate Sustainability efforts. To perform its activities, it manages internal tools aggregating ESG external data and internal research.
Main responsibilities
- Maintain the internal ESG software, ensuring that all data is correctly integrated into the platform, transmitted to the appropriate stakeholders, and uploaded to the relevant tools. This includes verifying data reliability and sourcing missing data when necessary.
- Contribute to ESG reporting and monitoring by utilising existing tools and supporting the development of new ones as needed.
- Conduct ESG analyses of companies, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses, and prepare concise summaries, articles, and reports to be shared internally.
- Participate in engagement activities and support the broader initiatives of the Sustainable Investing Team.
Skills and experience
- Master in Finance or Economics
- Strong interest in ESG subjects
- An analytical mindset with good mathematical and writing skills.
- Excellent team player with good empathy and interpersonal communication skills.
- Professional knowledge of MS Office tool with particular reference to Excel. The knowledge of Python is a plus.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
