Job Description:
The mission of the Internal Audit Department is to provide independent and objective reviews and assessments of the business activities, operations, financial systems and internal control environment of Gunvor Group. The Internal Audit Department, which is a longstanding function at the company, accomplishes its primary mission through operational audits selected as a result of a comprehensive risk analysis and assessment process. Internal Audit is also involved in forensic, consulting and performance missions.
Gunvor is s seeking a detail-oriented and talented Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team.
Main Responsibilities

Participate in internal audit assignments on a global basis, covering trading desks, central & support functions and assets. This includes suitable risk assessment of the audited area, planning, interviews, well-executed fieldwork and effective reporting within tight time constraints

Contribute to the audit process and data analysis for individual assignments

Develop written conclusions on the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls

Assess business processes & strategies and recommend improvements based on best practices

Support the development and maintenance of professional standards
Profile
-
Degree in economics, accounting, finance, or related fields. Recognized professional certification in audit field is a plus (e.g. CIA).

Professional experience of 3 to 5 years in the internal audit field, within a big4 and/or an international commodity trading house

Comprehension of the internal control requirements and implications with aptitude of thinking in a critical and rational way

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English along with presentation skills. Additional languages are welcome

Knowledges in accounting (general accounting methods and key principles) and MS applications, particularly Excel.

High ethical standards and a commitment to upholding the principles of integrity and professionalism

Ability to work independently with limited required direction and guidance, to provide appropriate support to the other team members and to deliver an accomplished product

Ability to work under pressure with a flexible schedule to meet mission deadlines

Availability to travel worldwide.
