Position Summary
As a "Consumer and Market Insights Manager", You will be responsible for leading consumer learnings for innovation projects at Nespresso HQ. This includes overseeing projects related to coffee, machine development, and exploring new territories in both B2C and B2B markets. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that impactful innovations are delivered to consumers, focusing on highly desirable, differentiated, and viable propositions.
A Day in the Life of a Consumer and Market Insights Manager
- Be a strategic partner for innovation product marketing and R&D teams, bringing consumer insights into the innovation journey and ensuring their implementation and visibility across cross-functional teams
- Lead the annual Nespresso HQ innovation program, identifying growth opportunity spaces, running ideation workshops, and systematically testing high potential ideas
- Develop and drive consumer, market, and brand understanding for mid-long term innovation, identifying knowledge gaps and leading new research initiatives
- Translate business questions into research plans, brief external agencies, and develop research projects that address identified business needs
- Challenge pre-conceived ideas from innovation product marketing and R&D teams, leveraging past research insights to understand and meet consumer wants and needs
- Monitor fieldwork and data analysis processes, maintaining high quality and research standards
- Communicate research results through compelling narratives that advise and impact decisions at all levels
What will make you successful
- University degree in Marketing or equivalent
- At least 6 years of experience in Consumer and Market Insights (agency and/or client side)
- Strong communication analytical skills
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative research techniques for innovation, communication, and branding
- Ability to design research plans and lead projects with budget, supplier, research and schedule management
- Curiosity and experience uncovering consumer opportunities and trends
- Fluent in English, any other language is an asset.
