The mission of the School of Practical Arts is to train students in the operational demands of the hospitality industry, including the management of food and beverage services, guest reception, staff supervision, and event organization. The programs focus on service excellence, attention to detail, as well as culinary and hospitality expertise. They allow students to develop practical skills that complement their theoretical knowledge.

The mission of the Learning Designer is to develop and implement our next generation learning solutions for EHL’s Programs by collaborating closely with Faculty members who will provide you with overall guidance in the content of courses that will be digitalized, as well as with the Programs teams.
What will you do?
- Work collaboratively with the digitalization project team and Faculty members to ensure the efficient, timely and on-budget production of online courses.
- Create engaging learning content and activities.
- Develop instructional graphics and other visual support to enhance student learning.
- Provide support to Faculty in development of videos.
- Review and improve Learning Management System (LMS) content on a regular basis.
- Monitor course-level use of LMS functionality and online learning materials on Moodle.
- Coach and support Faculty in use of LMS functionality as well as state of the art pedagogical approaches for online learning.
- Review learning materials to establish minimum quality standards for courses and develop a consistent structure for digital assets.
Who you are?
- You have a Bachelor of Science or a Master of Arts in instructional/learning design or educational technology.
- You have 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar position.
- You are Service & customer oriented with high personal drive and accountability.
- You have excellent knowledge of learning theories and online assessments.
- You have the ability to review and edit instructional texts, and audio/video scripts.
- You have proven working experience in instructional design with the ability to write effective scripts.
- You have good command of visual design and video software applications such as Camtasia, Captivate, etc.
- You have a previous experience in hospitality industry or business-schools is a plus.
- You are fluent in French and English (C2).
