Our unit Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS), based in Zürich-Oerlikon, is active in the development and production of gas insulated switching systems. As a Production Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless production operations, balancing efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery. You will be at the heart of production planning, collaborating with various departments to optimize processes and enhance productivity. How you’ll make an impact

• Production Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and maintain optimized production schedules using SAP S/4HANA PP and advanced planning tools to align with customer demands and production capabilities

• Capacity & Resource Management: Ensure efficient use of production resources by balancing material availability, labor capacity, and production priorities

• Daily Production Monitoring: Track progress against planned schedules, proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks, delays, or deviations to maintain workflow efficiency

• Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement: Conduct root cause analysis on production challenges and initiate corrective actions, engaging with the necessary stakeholders for quick and effective problem resolution

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, procurement, engineering, logistics, quality, and project management to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products

• System Utilization & Optimization: Leverage SAP ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to enhance visibility and control over production processes

• Process Improvement & Automation: Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing automation, optimizing workflows, and improving Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) strategies

Your Background

• Degree in a technical, industrial, or commercial field

• Additional training or certification in business processes, purchasing, or supply chain management is advantageous

• Proven experience in production planning, capacity management, or supply chain coordination

• Strong expertise in SAP PP and related modules, with a solid understanding of MS Office tools

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and goal-oriented work approach

• Fluent in German and English, with the ability to navigate international business environments

• A proactive mindset, always eager to learn, adapt, and drive improvements in a dynamic production setting
