Tâches
- Fournir des soins cliniques aux petits animaux et gérer les opérations.
- Enseigner la chirurgie des petits animaux à des niveaux universitaires.
- Superviser des résidents et des étudiants en recherche.
Compétences
- Diplôme en Médecine Vétérinaire et ECVS ou ACVS requis.
- Expérience clinique significative en chirurgie orthopédique.
- Capacité à communiquer en anglais, allemand et/ou français.

The Department of Clinical Veterinary Science at the Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Bern, invites applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professorship in Small Animal Surgery (100%).
Key Responsibilities
• Clinical Service: Provide clinical care for small animals and actively contribute to the day-to-day operations of the small animal surgery unit; active participation in the emergency service system for small animal surgery (back-up)
• Undergraduate Teaching: Deliver lectures, practical courses, and seminars in small animal surgery
• Resident Supervision: Guide and mentor ECVS residents
• Research: Lead and implement own research projects in Small Animal Surgery
• Supervision: Oversee PhD, Dr.med.vet., and master's students in their research projects
• Leadership: This position includes the role of Small Animal Surgery section Deputy Head
Requirements
• Master Degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Diploma from the European College of Veterinary Surgeonss (ECVS) or the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS)
• PhD or equivalent scientific qualification, demonstrating internationally recognized research activity in the field of Small Animal Surgery
• Significant clinical experience, preferably with a focus on orthopedic surgery
• Fluency in English, preferably also German and/or French, or commitment to learn them for teaching and client communication
