Business Engagement
- Serve as a business partner and strategy advisor to specific business units and functions, fostering strong relationships, collaboration, and engagement.
- Actively leading in shaping the future Data, Digital and Technology strategy and roadmap together with other GDD&T & DD&T partners based on business needs from the BUs/BFs under their spam of responsibility
- Understand and address the unique needs, challenges, and opportunities of specific business unit/function through proactive support, innovative solutions, and insights.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders in assigned business units and business functions to ensure GDDT/ Business alignment at strategic, tactical, and operational level.
- Communicates decisions, priorities, and relevant initiative information to appropriate levels of staff and stakeholders of the business and Business functions under their spam of control
Demand Management
- Collaborate with and influence assigned business units and functions to identify, assess, and prioritize initiatives, projects, and investments that drive value and achieve desired outcomes.
Oversee and manage monitoring, evaluation, and anticipate demand patterns, trends, and changes to proactively adjust strategies and plans as required for assigned business units and functions
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Engagement & Demand Partner (BEP) has a key role by effectively overseeing, harmonizing strategies between DD&T / GDD&T and assigned business units and business functions, fostering strategic partnerships, elevate service levels and optimizing demand. The BEP will have the opportunity to influence and drive change, create synergies, and deliver sustainable value, monitoring progress, harmonize the approach, overseeing capacity and be responsible for and acts as the central point for engaging with assigned business units and functions, serving as a "trusted partner and advisor" and primary GDD&T point of contact.
The BEP will be accountable for overseeing a team focused of assigned business units and functions on :
Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define strategies & opportunities, prioritize projects, and lead the effective use of data, digital & technology (DD&T) to achieve business objectives for assigned business units and business functions
Business Engagement
- Serve as a business partner as strategic advisor for assigned business units and functions, fostering strong relationships, collaboration, and engagement between GDDT/DDT.
- Act as a bridge between GDD&T and different functional areas within the DD&T team, providing strategic consulting support through key technical initiatives for assigned business units and functions.
- Exhibit thought leadership and actively leading in shaping the future Data, Digital and Technology strategy and roadmap together with other GDD&T & DD&T partners based on business needs from the different BUs/BFs.
- Understand the unique needs, challenges, and opportunities of assigned business units/functions and proactively identify ways to support and add value through innovative solutions and insights.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, communication, and alignment to drive cohesive strategies, initiatives, and results of assigned business units and functions.
- Lead efforts to resolve conflicts, address issues, and build consensus among stakeholders to ensure alignment, engagement, and commitment.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders in assigned DDT to ensure GDDT/ Business alignment at strategic, tactical, and operational level.
- Communicates decisions, priorities, and relevant initiative information to appropriate levels of staff while proactively sharing optimization opportunities and potential risks.
- Act as the key liaison for DDT area with the other GDDT teams.
- Support opportunities to address unmet business needs through alignment and deep understanding of GDDT Platforms and Services capabilities.
- Be the lead contact between the Data Digital and Technology (DD&T) partner organizations and the DD&T Digital Finance’s Portfolio, Investment and Value team.
Demand Management
- Overseeing and influencing demand collection and harmonize and centralize demand management in relation to forecasting, capacity planning, operations and delivery in the ICSS organization for assigned business units and functions.
- Manage and support prioritization of business demands effectively, ensuring alignment with company goals and resources for assigned business units and functions.
- Collaborate with assigned business units and functions to identify, assess, and prioritize initiatives, projects, and investments that drive value and achieve desired outcomes .
- Establish and maintain robust demand forecasting, tracking, and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility, insights, and accountability for assigned business units and functions.
- Sponsor and drive the DD&T Demand Management process adoption to enhance DD&T experience with consuming shared platforms and services offerings for assigned business units and functions.
Communication and Knowledge Sharing
- Communicate decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to appropriate staff regarding DD&T requests, projects, and initiatives of assigned business units and functions.
- Proactively share knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to enhance service quality, build a competitive advantage, and improve efficiency in assigned business units and functions.
Technical Expertise. Stay updated and current on the latest industry trends and technology advancements to offer informed advice and recommendations to DD&T teams as appropriate for assigned business units and functions.
Account Growth. Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-enabling additional technology services and solutions across the DD&T federated model for assigned business units and functions.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: (List the essential and desirable education and competency requirements to perform the primary responsibilities of the job. Any minimum requirements should be noted.)
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, Life Sciences, Business, or related subject matter.
- Minimum 10+ years of information management and/or related work experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry
- 10+ years of working experience managing external service provider partnerships, desired in within Pharmaceutical and/or Biotech environment.
- Proven leadership and management capability in a multicultural global environment.
- Strong knowledge of information management, data quality, data constraints and Governance Frameworks
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to listen and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to engage effectively with colleagues and senior business stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a high level of organization skills
- Experience in budget planning and financial management.
- Experience with IT projects from start to end.
