Our Focus-Track Graduate Programme is an 18-month journey designed to unleash your full potential, offering three rotations, including an international assignment. Your team
Join the CRO division and become part of the Market & Treasury Risk team. Market & Treasury Risk is responsible for risk controlling of all trading and treasury activities for Bank Julius Baer and Julius Baer Group. We assure transparency of incurred market risks and maintain an adequate risk limit framework. Further we are responsible for the development of risk models and its adaptation to the changing needs of the bank as financial markets evolve. We maintain the market risk and valuation control framework within the Group and assure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and best practice.

YOUR CHALLENGE
-
You will be actively involved in the daily business, working with other professionals and gaining first-hand experience and acquiring relevant knowledge and personal skills into quantitative and qualitative aspects of Market Risk management

You will take responsibility for one or more regular activities of the team such as risk analysis and exposure monitoring for the trading business, calculating stress tests and FRTB capital and assisting trading in understanding new Basel III rules

You will participate in new product approval process including: risk assessment, requirements specification, and ensuring that internal risk models are adequate
-
You will also work closely with members of the Trading and Client Facing units.
YOUR PROFILE

Master's degree from a university or university of applied sciences with above-average grades in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), economics or banking and finance (graduation max. 12 months ago)

Genuine interest in financial markets

Strong analytical, conceptual skills and interest in quantitative models

A global mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong appetite for learning

Fluency in English, with additional languages being a plus
