Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with the internal Azure Manager to design and architect Azure solutions tailored to business requirements.
- Advise on enhancements for optimizing the current Azure environment.
- Support the creation of both high-level and detailed design documentation for Azure services.
- Aid in the implementation and configuration of Azure services, including but not limited to:
- Virtual Machines (VMs)
- Azure Active Directory (AAD)
- Networking (VNets, NSGs, etc.)
- Storage Accounts
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or similar platforms
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Monitoring and Security tools
- Ensure that deployments adhere to best practices regarding scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Participate in migrating on-premises workloads to Azure as necessary.
- Provide continuous support for the Azure environment, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Monitor Azure services and resources to guarantee optimal performance and availability.
- Assist in the formulation and execution of backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and training for the internal team as required.
- Engage in regular meetings with the internal Azure Manager and relevant stakeholders to assess progress, address challenges, and plan future actions.
- Document all activities undertaken, including configurations, changes, and resolutions, while maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base.
- Provide frequent status reports and updates to the internal Azure Manager.
- Create high-level and detailed design documents for Azure solutions.
- Handle the configuration and implementation of Azure services as specified in the scope of work.
- Document all completed work, including any configurations and modifications.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with the internal team.
- Submit regular status reports and updates.
- Proven experience in designing and managing Azure cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of Azure services and architecture.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Solid understanding of networking and security concepts in the Azure environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
