If you are an experienced and versatile Head of IoT with strong skills in leading, project management, resolving complex technical issues, innovative and with an attitude for continuous improvement - this could be the role for you:
Here's what you'll do:
- Lead a team of cloud software, firmware and hardware engineers and quality assurance professionals
- Manage the team's resources and timelines effectively and support the budgeting process
- Oversee technical planning, project management and development of IoT systems
- Contribute to strategic planning by aligning planned IoT solutions with overall business goals
- Develop and implement team objectives and KPIs, tracking progress and making adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business units and key stakeholders
- Ensure that IoT projects are delivered and rolled out on time, within scope, and in accordance with quality standards
- Track the resolution of complex technical issues related to firmware, hardware and system architecture
- Review and provide input to end-to-end solution design proposals considering both technical and business implications
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to the engineering team
- Provide input to and review architectural concepts, principles and decisions
- Lead hiring processes and contribute to the growth of the team
- Manage and resolve conflicts within the team and negotiate solutions with stakeholders
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the team
This is what you'll need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Proven experience in an engineering leadership role and management of software development teams
- Strong technical background with a in-depth understanding of embedded systems development processes and methodologies
- Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of developing high-performing teams
- Experience in conflict resolution, negotiation, and stakeholder management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
