Infrastructure Architect
Location: Switzerland (Hybrid/Remote)
Randstad Digital Switzerland is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to design and oversee the IT/OT infrastructure supporting our client’s development and manufacturing operations. This role ensures that all infrastructure solutions are secure, scalable, compliant with industry regulations, and optimized for performance. Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement large-scale, multi-site IT/OT infrastructure, ensuring high performance and security.
- Develop resilient, scalable, and high-availability systems, following frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman, and ITIL.
- Leverage virtualization, containerization, and edge computing technologies, such as VMware, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker.
- Automate deployments using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and Bash while driving Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption.
- Oversee performance monitoring and IT service management, utilizing tools such as Splunk, Elastic, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Ensure compliance with GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and ISO standards, developing audit-ready infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate with IT, security, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to align infrastructure with business needs.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, policies, and best practices.
- Implement Zero Trust Security, IAM, SIEM, and NIST/CIS security frameworks.
- Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity strategies are in place and effectively managed.
- 5-10 years of experience in IT/OT infrastructure design and management.
- Strong expertise in networking & security, including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPNs, Firewalls, and Load Balancing.
- Proven experience working with DevOps delivery pipelines and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Ability to drive standardization, automation, and simplification within IT infrastructure.
- Experience communicating effectively with all levels, including executive leadership.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to anticipate risks and develop strategic, innovative solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Fluency in English is required.
