We are on the search for a passionate, dynamic and charismatic individual to join us at YOTEL Geneva Lake as Head Chef / Executive Chef.

About the role
As our Head Chef/ Executive Chefyou will play an instrumental part in the delivery of the venue concept of HYGGE and the Meeting & Events space. This will be done by working with the General Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, YOTEL London HQ and HYGGE brand standards in the creation of menus, ensuring consistency & quality of the food and service being offered to our guests, as well as creating opportunities to activate the venue to attract outside guests.
Reporting to the hotel to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Head Chef / Executive Chef will serve as a key member of the hotel senior management team.
More specifically, responsibilities will include the following:
- Develop and execute innovative menus that align with our brand and customer expectations
- Manage and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency meet the highest standards
- Control stock, manage suppliers, and oversee ordering to optimize costs and reduce waste
- Maintain strict hygiene, health, and safety standards in line with regulations
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction
As well as the above-mentioned tasks, the Head Chef will be responsible in ensuring all food safety and health & safety requirements are met.
The skills we are looking for are:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a similar environment
- A passion for food and creativity in menu design
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and controlling costs
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills by using their outgoing personality to interact with guests, employees, HQ and others.
