As the Innovation, Technology, and Reliability Leader for Baby & Child Care (BCC), you are responsible for the support to product innovation upgrades, process technology & reliability management for BCC products. You will bring in necessary expertise in product, process and engineering to deliver the innovation upgrades, process improvements & asset efficiency improvements on BCC assets across Enterprise Markets (EM). You will work closely with engineering, process leads, R&D as well as OEMs and engineering service providers to develop and implement solutions. You will have to keep track of performance of various assets along with the Operations Excellence team and support them in gap analysis and solutions to improve asset reliability. Working with capital and sector engineering team to manage the optimized deployment of capex will be key deliverable for this position.
In this role, you will:
Innovation & Technology

Work with R&D /Engineering/Procurement teams to build the product upgrade solutions at optimized cost & to implement DTV solutions to drive cost improvements. Identify advantaged actions and initiatives that can reduce cost and drive consumer value.

Drive product platform rationalization well supported by available technology along with R&D/Engineering/Ops excellence/ VS team to get the best benefit for EM. Look into future needs & keep building the necessary capabilities through internal/external teams for early response.

Work with GSC teams in innovations & design for the Personal Care value streams solutions which are fit for purpose with optimized cost.
Value, efficiency enhancement

Support analysis with internal partners to determine make vs, buy, to ensure capital efficiency.

Build the process for qualification trials efficiency & transfer of data to avoid repetition & losses.

Support engineering teams, consulting them on upgrade/improvement project implementation through right mix of internal/external resources for improved cost & efficiency.
Reliability and performance management

Bring the outside in, ensure competitive understanding, industry benchmarks and global internal capabilities to drive the performance across mills.

Build the knowledge /capability across mills on tech/process improvements to drive efficiency.

Define and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness along with Ops excellence & VS teams, including metrics related to cost, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.

Identify and mitigate risks within the upgrades/technology used, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Work with Engineering teams to drive the asset life cycle ownership cost reduction through various initiatives & support Ops excellence team in conducting these WS & provide tech support.

In one of our manufacturing roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering stream or related field. Post graduation in Industrial engineering, operations management will be added advantage.

Extensive experience in manufacturing ops, design, process & innovation projects management within the CPG industry, with a proven track record of driving process improvements & delivering solutions.

Excellent product & process knowledge, experience of working with OEM/ESPs to deliver solutions at right cost.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data-driven decision-making. Ability to think out of box, reapplication of technology/solutions.
-
Right leadership, ability to influence and diverse team management capabilities to drive results.

Experience in end-to-end innovation cycles with critical role played in delivering results.

Effective, consistent communications and stakeholder management skills.
-
Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.

Willingness to travel for on-site assessments and collaboration with segments and ABUs globally.
