Join an experienced and collaborative team of dedicated Global Medical Affairs Leads in Clinical Development and Medical Affairs (CDMA) at Roche Diagnostics. Work with the International Business team for Foundation Medicine on the development and commercialization of Comprehensive Genomic Profiling, tissue/liquid biopsy and molecular diagnostics solutions. THE OPPORTUNITY
-
Provide medical and scientific expertise in oncology diagnostics and leadership in developing medical plans and executing medical activities and engagements including integrated evidence generation, research collaborations, advisory boards, independent or sponsored medical education and testing access programs.

Build strong partnerships with medical and patient communities including global thought leaders, investigators, academic networks and professional societies, as well as pharma partners to drive safe adoption of medical value solutions while ensuring operational excellence and compliance with industry regulations and HCP interaction guidelines.

Develop content for timely and effective communication of science and clinical data within and outside the organization in training or educational programs, publications and congress presentations.

Champion patient and customer-centricity in mindset, behaviors and actions by always putting the needs of the patients and customers first.

Partner across functions, regions, cultures, and time zones to create an environment of belonging and identify mutual value and opportunities for collaborations.

WHO YOU ARE
-
You have expertise and an advanced degree in Medical Sciences (MD and/or PhD) in Pathology, Oncology, Molecular Biology or related disciplines and have 8+ years of relevant industry experience in medical affairs or development and 5+ years of extensive expertise in designing, implementing or supporting personalized healthcare approaches (i.e. clinical studies, scientific communication) that tailor treatments to individual patients.

You have proficiency in molecular-guided therapy approaches, in-depth understanding and practical application of molecular diagnostics, biomarkers, and genomic data, clinical guidelines, real world data to guide targeted therapeutic strategies for patients and have strong awareness of healthcare ecosystems and comprehensive knowledge of the complexities including payer structures, regulatory environments, and patient access pathways, ensuring innovative solutions align with current healthcare trends.

You have the demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific concepts in context of “omics”, communicate and simplify intricate scientific and medical information for diverse healthcare stakeholders, including clinicians, policymakers, and payers.

You are proactive and self-directed with a proven track record of leading programs in a global and cross-cultural matrix, strategic decision making, systems thinking, and adaptability to perform in a complex and rapidly evolving environment.

You have a deep understanding of legal and regulatory considerations impacting the healthcare, biopharma and diagnostics industry.

You have excellent English oral and written communication skill and are willing to travel up to 20% nationally or internationally.

The expected salary range for this position is based on the primary location of Basel, Switzerland. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided.
