We are looking to strengthen our E2E Supply Chain team in Umkirch. Our new Back Order Analyst will help us drive our capabilities to the next level and ensure best-in-class service for our patients, doctors and customers. The position is a fixed-term position until 31.12.2025.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose/General summary
As a Back Order Analyst, you will play a vital role in enabling orthopedic surgeries, directly impacting the health of our patients. Every day, your efforts will make a difference and KEEP PEOPLE MOVING! You will monitor and address critical supply constraints, exploring options to alleviate them and ensuring timely delivery to our customers while maintaining efficient workflows in our warehouse. Additionally, you will coordinate our internal partners to guide proactive solutions and mitigations. This position provides a strong sense of purpose and places you at the heart of a diverse, solution-oriented team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- First point-of-contact for supply constraints, steering interactions between our upstream SC, our commercial teams and our warehouses.
- Allocate constrained products to ensure that critical items are prioritized based on patient needs and commercial objectives.
- Conduct root cause analyses on deviations such as OTIF, backorder value, and inventory levels. Develop action plans with clearly defined responsibilities to facilitate performance improvement.
- Foster collaborative relationships with relevant departments across the organization, including sales, customer service, and senior management.
- Support the demand planning process by providing insights on supply constraints and potential recovery scenarios.
- Manage inventory in the local warehouse by implementing reorder points and coordinating return activities to the central hub.
- Plan and order third-party supplier products based on the established demand plan.
- Perform periodic controls and general master data maintenance based on system requirements.
- Drive continuous process improvement and standardization in back order management
- Live our credo by ensuring customers' orders are serviced promptly and accurately , while keeping the efficiency of our material flows.
