Summary
This position will be responsible for developing and managing new products in the indirect tax space, specifically related to VAT compliance solutions. This includes working closely with our sales team to identify customer needs and develop product requirements based on those needs as well as working directly with development teams to ensure timely delivery of these projects. Additionally, this person will also work closely with other members of the Product Management group across all areas of indirect tax compliance software including Sales & Use Tax (SUT), Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods & Services Tax (GST), and Canadian Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). They will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal along with strong analytical abilities necessary to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly to customers at varying levels of expertise within their organizations. The ideal candidate should possess advanced knowledge of indirect taxes as well as experience working with ERP applications such as SAP S/4 HANA. Knowledge of SAP integrations would be beneficial.
About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our indirect tax compliance solutions. You will take charge of defining and driving the development of new products while ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to provide cutting-edge solutions to our clients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements for new product initiatives.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to define product features and functionalities based on market trends and customer feedback.
Conduct research and analysis to identify industry gaps and opportunities for innovation in indirect tax compliance solutions.
Develop detailed project plans and timelines to ensure successful execution of new product launches.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in the field of indirect tax compliance.
Provide regular updates to management regarding progress, risks, and mitigation strategies related to new product development.
Assist in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure product reliability and user satisfaction.
Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to create effective go-to-market strategies for new products.
Monitor customer engagement and feedback post-launch, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes accordingly.
Contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization by sharing your insights and expertise with colleagues.
About You
To thrive in this role, you must possess a combination of technical know-how, interpersonal skills, and strategic thinking. We are seeking someone who can effectively lead and collaborate with diverse teams while maintaining a keen focus on delivering high-quality results.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent relevant education preferred. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
Proven track record of successfully managing multiple concurrent projects with tight deadlines.
Strong understanding of indirect taxes, particularly VAT, GST, and SUT.
Experience with SAP S/4 HANA is required.
Solid grasp of ERP integrations and data exchange processes.
Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
Exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Effective communicator with strong writing and presentation skills.
Ability to travel occasionally for meetings and conferences.
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
