Reinsurance Claims Assistant
How does this role contribute to our collective success?
Working in a globalized, customer focused, professional, reinsurance claims organization, you will support the Reinsurance Claims department goals of managing, maintaining, and retaining a department of the highest quality claim professionals who provide best in class internal and external client servicing through efficient and effective claims handling and quality customer service.
What will you do in this role?
Support the Reinsurance Claims Department by reviewing and identifying content of incoming mail, determining what actions are needed, e.g Initial notice, closing, update or reserves, etc. as directed or within authority provided and guidance of the supervising Lead. Will require attention to detail and ability to learn systems promptly. Responsible for assisting the claims team with inputting information in the SICS claims platform & RDT file management systems.

Reviewing, organizing and categorizing mail/updates on reinsurance claims by content

Timely processing of assigned Tasks in portfolio while demonstrating ownership and sound decision making

Identify new claims related to key topics or severity and report to Team Lead

Communicate with claim handlers and craft processing solutions

Participating in regular team meetings to keep abreast of developing trends impacting the claims team and or AXIS Re

What you need to have:

Prefer University Graduate or equivalent professional experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong math or data analytics skills

Ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of tasks efficiently

Willingness to learn new systems and processes in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient processing of claims.

Evidence based problem solving mindset
What we prefer you to have:

Digitally savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and SharePoint.

Ability to navigate Reinsurance bespoke claims management software.

Experience with using SharePoint or other cloud based

Ability to stay organized with strong time management skills

Flexibility to work within team and support multiple concurrent projects

Effectively communicate progress through status updates

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
