Your Role at Baxter
Focus on structuring and maintaining multiple projects within a product family to align and understand project interactions. There is a level of independent interaction, influence, and leadership with the project teams to ensure the team keeps projects on track and delivers to commitments. The Project Leader II role is guided by the product lifecycle management processes in supporting both sustaining and new product development work streams. The individual in this role will be strengthening their independence and strong leadership and project management skills in to evolve to leading larger projects.
What you'll be doing
- Organize and coordinate initiatives across a solution container product family.
- Identify interactions between initiatives and proactively manage any potential conflicts.
- Support both Sustaining and New Product Development efforts through project management.
- Assign and track team deliverables for project completion.
- Responsible for project communication by interacting with R&D, PMO, Project Core Teams and extended teams to ensure effective communications and manage expectations.
- Coordinate project documentation.
- Build and manage project schedules and timelines.
- Partner with technical and core teams to establish and track and communicate project risks.
- Maintain project Team Sites.
- In conjunction with the core team, establish and monitor project budget commitments, including purchasing of supplies and equipment as needed.
- Assess impacts across multiple projects when there is a change in scope.
- Understand and generate financial planning as needed.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor level degree or equivalent experience.
- 4 plus years project management experience.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices and Product Development Process requirements.
- Proficient with scheduling software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Product Development experience, familiarity with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
- Strong leadership skills.
- PMP certification preferred.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $96,000 to $132,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
