Your responsibilities

Are you a recent graduate in civil engineering eager to gain hands-on experience in a multicultural environment? This Junior Quality Manager Engineer position could be your opportunity to join CERN's dynamic Site and Civil Engineering (SCE) office design section within the Site Asset Management (SAM) group.

Reporting directly to the SAM group leader, your main duties will include:

  • Developing and implementing quality management systems for each SAM section.
  • Conducting audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality issues.
  • Training SAM teams on quality standards and procedures.
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality data to identify trends.

Additionally, you will set up standard technical specifications for civil engineering work packages with the help of SAM's experts and the in-house SAM technical office.

  • Fluent in French, the ability to work in English would be an advantage.

Eligibility criteria:

  • You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
  • By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Civil Engineering & Quality Management (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
  • Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
  • Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.

This position requires:

  • Work in Radiation Areas.
  • A valid driving licence.

  • A monthly stipend ranging between 5134  and 5647 Swiss Francs (net of tax).
