The Senior Manager, Data Engineering Platforms is responsible for leading a team of engineers coordinating the planning, the build, and the operations of data and reporting platforms. They will be a part of the Global Data Engineering and Analytics Platforms team and provide technological and process expertise and support the global domain data product delivery teams. They will analyze and make decisions that have a positive impact on the business, by assisting business partners in finding efficient data and analytic solutions.
What you'll be doing

Responsible for planning and developing technical roadmaps for data and analytics platforms.

Lead all aspects of the design, implementation, and maintenance of data engineering pipelines in a multi-cloud environment, including integrations with a variety of data sources (including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data)

Collaborate with the Domain Data Product Delivery teams and other partners in Architecture, Data Integration, DevOps, and Data Governance to deliver data platform initiatives

Ensure data engineering standards are in line with established principles for data governance, data quality, and data security.

Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines, ensuring they meet SLAs for data availability and quality.

Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to improve data engineering processes and outcomes, in collaboration with the Domain Data Product Delivery teams.

Effectively communicate and realize vision and strategy for the organization that aligns with the business needs.
What you'll bring
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or relevant subject area

Minimum 5+ years of multifaceted technical experience in one or more of the cloud-based data warehouse/data lake platforms such as AWS S3, Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Synapse.

Minimum 5+ years leading and administering one or more visualization platforms such as Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, Qlik

Proven ability working with Business users, driving, and defining functional and analytical data requirements for end-to-end solutioning as well as driving an implementation team through Agile methods.

Proficient in leading teams in Data & Analytics programs with experience in native digital technologies (cloud, sophisticated data analysis, and predictive modeling) in organizations driving product development.

Strong team building and talent leadership skills, and the ability to empower team members to achieve goals.

Experience with Oracle Fusion cloud will be a plus.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $144,000 - $180,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive .
