You plan, develop and execute capital projects by supporting technical developments, feasibility perspectives of engineering-related activities in supply chain and capital expense project execution to support growth, world-class manufacturing and productivity with the highest levels of quality, safety and environmental requirements. How you will contribute

To ensure that accurate budgets, plans and fit-for-purpose technical solutions are delivered, you will work with key stakeholders to define and deliver the capital and technical agendas during the development phases of capital investment projects. You will develop capital budgets according to the contract and forecast cash flow, ensure that engineering developments and standards are implemented, and support the development and implementation of state-of-the art processes and equipment strategies to optimize resources, harmonize assets and rollout best practices. In this role, you will support capital project execution and will be accountable for the quality and results of the capital projects per Mondelēz standards, and our business and innovation processes in project management.

• Project management skills (PMO certificate or similar advantagous)
• Leading to work effectively across cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders
• Senior-level technical expertise across engineering disciplines (ideally more than 5 years)
• Experience in leading Comissioning and Start Up activities
• Advantagous are skills in Siemens and Schneider PLC platforms as well as experience in IoT industrical applications via OPC-UA server connectivity

More about this role

What you need to know about this position:

In this role you will be an integrated part of an engineering team dedicated to deliver capital investment for capacity growth in Toblerone manufacturing. You will be leading a project sub-track to plan,install and commission a new packaging line for Toblerone bars in Bern chocolate factory .

Main responsibilities will be to:

• act as single point of contact from MDLZ side with the selected machine manufacturers and equipment suppliers;
• understand and provide details of interfaces – machines upstream/downstream, line operators, pack materials;
• manage the site installation works – sizing and hiring lifting equipment, organizing and supervising the ingress of equipment, coordinating the equipment installation works;
• manage the commissioning works – ramp-up to the contracted efficiency, tracking KPIs defined by contracts with OEMs on daily basis, agree and supervise any modifications required with OEMs;
• organise and supervise the trainings for line operators and technicians;
• lead daily management routine meetings with OEMs and local team;
• report progress, risks and mitigation plan on a daily basis;
• interface and align with other project sub-tracks, MDLZ standars and Bern plant organization

What extra ingredients you will bring:

• Degree in Automation Engineering with strong relevant work experience in FMCG industry
• Fluency in English language, German language is considered a strong advantage

Travel requirements: Approx. 2x per month within Europe (supplier visits, visiting other plants)
