The Department of Operations CoE Services serves as a central hub of knowledge and expertise on processes and systems within our world-class manufacturing operations. We are responsible for the quality and safety of processes and equipment in the areas of Medium Preparation, Buffer Preparation, and Equipment Preparation. In addition, the department is responsible for investigating and immediately solving (technical and quality-related) deviations in the production process. The department leads and participates in various projects to optimize and implement new equipment and processes.
Key Responsibilities of the function holder:
As the Manufacturing Process Specialist (MPS), you will be the Business System Owner of a process and/or various assets, ensuring their flawless operation. You will introduce new equipment, maintain its validated state, and take ownership for the safety, quality, and reliability of the equipment and processes. Your role will involve leading change and improvement initiatives, troubleshooting, and staying up-to-date with the latest developments in your field. This specific vacancy focuses on the support of the Equipment Preparation (EP) process and equipment within the EP group of CoE Services.
Job Description:
- Work with cross-functional team members, including external manufacturing partners to ensure equipment meets varied quality, EHSS and compliance requirements.
- Initiate and lead process and/or equipment improvement projects. This includes leading and executing Change Control processes, managing Business Improvements and defining User Requirements in consultation with a multidisciplinary team. Ensure that beneficial improvements in the areas of capacity, safety (EHS&S) and quality (GMP) regarding equipment and/or process are implemented.
- Develop and sustain a long-term strategy for the asset such that manufacturing capacity remains adequate. Ensure that an Asset Team is in place to ensure life cycle management of the equipment.
- Provide first line support to manufacturing by, for example providing expert advice to the shop floor in case of process issues; Provide training on the equipment and processes.
- Act as a specialist in your field of expertise when deviations occur or take the lead in investigations.
- Represent the department in projects or take the lead in small projects when required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process and/or equipment disturbances in the department.
