Job Description Summary
The Sales Operations Leader is a key member of the Asia Gas Power ITR Leadership team. The Sales Operations Leader will lead the business/outage intelligence, fleet management and vertical operations support team, in organizing and driving commercial activity/processes in the most effective and optimal manner. The role requires implementing both long-term and short-term business objectives/initiatives, coordinating between multiple functions, in driving growth and meeting the goals and objects set by the Asia Pole. Asia Pole team works horizontally in ITR, so leading and driving ITR activities without boundary needs to be expected.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Lead overall commercial/sales operations
- Partner with Sales & Commercial team to develop and run an effective and efficient operating rhythm that aligns, meets and gives direction for business long and short-term priorities
- Lead and/or engage to solve various issues impacting the sales/commercial teams so that the sales team is freed up to focus on our customers.
- Develop close ties with the Global business unit team and leverage the support of the global teams to support growth in the Pole.
- Keep close pulse on the customer, competitors & market dynamics, incorporating the insights from OTR & Engineering teams, and ensure commercial activities are aligned to support customer outcomes
- Lead process improvements and drive simplification projects/kaizens that reduce waste and improve customer satisfaction.
- Seamless handover to execution, supporting flawless execution with right commercial setting
- Train/mentor team members to develop within the organization.
Business intelligence / Outage management
- Monitor market trends, and drive country-by-country market insights & strategy building.
- Link/drive specific country/regional campaigns to grow pipeline with scale. Partner with global product lines on MGPP process.
- Continue supporting the rigor around customer planning with Account Managers, identify account strategy changes, provided visibility to process steps that enables the teams properly integrate customer budgets & outage planning cycles.
- Lead overall TX/MMP outage mining and planning to enhance transactional business growth
- Partner with TX vertical leaders to ensure 100% outage participation, improved outage realization & disposition (in NEX)
- Conduct detailed data analytics, forecast long term biz outlook, comparing SAS outage view vs participation, to drive key commercial decisions to maximize share of wallet per outage
- Lead ITO/OTR linked campaigns eg. MMP deep dive, CSA EW
- Leverage insights to drive new business models that enable growth
Fleet management / upgrades support
- Develop and maintain in-depth market model of target countries, and link the insight to customer’s business models
- Own the total Asia fleet – history, current operation profile and future fleet operation view. Democratize the information through maintenance of Pole monthly MYIB file, fleet data/ analytics, summary of fleet movement
- Conduct detailed data analytics, Forecast IB utilization trends over next 5 years, to drive key commercial decisions that lead to outcomes
- Partner with upgrade vertical leader to enable upgrades business growth, maximize upgrade entitlement penetration by tech/product, shape upgrade pipeline building, maintain 3 year target view
- Continuously develop region NPI requirements and feed into HQ MGPP program. Build business cases to ensure applicable solution offerings for the future market
Vertical / Ops excellence
- Lead overall pipeline management (in NEX), providing leading indicators in terms of pipeline health, convertible order health, etc.
- In collaboration with the vertical leaders, support, track and monitor operations/progress to target for the year and support strategic vertical programs eg. ATS, Pro E, MYA targeting
- Monitor status & drive advance release (AR) progress for outages/MYA/TX parts to meet convertible order targets progress by vertical
- Partner with commercial finance to deal progress leading indicators in terms of R status movements, commercial progress status (reason codes), identify key stagnant deals that require leadership support
- Work with IT/NEX team to simplify/automate reports to reduce or eliminate manual processes
