Global IT Procurement & Licensing Manager 80-100% (m/w)
Your responsibilities
Strategic Responsibilities:
Operational Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies that align with our organizational goals, focusing on cost and license optimization in ICT, software, and hardware
- Plan and deliver an IT asset management strategy with governance, processes, tools, and roles
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams and technology experts to understand business requirements and together stay updated on software and hardware market trends relevant to our business
- Identify and engage strategic partners, leading or contributing to high-value, complex contract negotiations with major global suppliers (e.g., SAP, Microsoft, Salesforce, Contact Software, PTC), and support and supervise local buyers in their negotiations.
- Optimize software licenses company-wide, ensuring compliance and deliver year-on-year cost savings
- Manage sourcing for IT hardware, telecoms, infrastructure, software & licenses, IT security, and outsourced services. Negotiate and draft comprehensive legal contracts, including SLAs, and GTCs
- Manage or support the management of key supplier relationships to ensure high performance and alignment with business needs
- Drive continuous improvement within the supply base by sharing key performance metrics and mentoring local buyers to enhance their procurement skills
- Implement mid and long-term planning to mitigate supplier risks and adapt to regulatory changes. Proactively monitor risks, lead escalations and other category-related initiatives.
Your profile
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in indirect purchasing in an international environment, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Proven experience (min. 3 years) in category management (HW, SW & Services) and license management within the ICT sector (e.g. with SAP, Microsoft, Salesforce or similar)
- Experience working in a complex matrix organization serving several sites across the globe
- Proven methodological competence in information & communication technology related purchasing
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex negotiations in ICT and manage strategic supplier relationships on senior level
- Strong background in software asset management, especially for licenses
- Business fluent in English, German language a strong advantage
- IT skills in the areas of ERP, office tools, new media
- Experience in SAP is considered as an advantage.
