Join our team as a Mass Spectrometry Laboratory Analyst and make a difference in the lives of patients worldwide. In this role, you will develop, evaluate, and validate new analytical methods using mass spectrometry techniques (GC-MS & LC-MS/MS) for raw materials and finished products in R&D projects.
What you'll do :
As a Mass Spectrometry Laboratory Analyst at Baxter, you will play a crucial role in the development, evaluation, and validation of new analytical methods for raw materials and finished products in R&D projects. Your primary focus will be on targeted LCMS analysis, but you will also have the opportunity to use other techniques such as GC-MS. In addition to developing and validating methods, you will provide support for laboratory testing as part of R&D projects for product sustaining or new product development. You will also contribute to initiatives in technological development, competitive product analysis, market and regulatory affairs questions, manufacturing plant related investigation, and more.
In this role, you will document and review results in electronic laboratory notebooks according to established GDP procedures. But also create and update equipment and analytical procedures, and participate in the ordering of raw materials, analytical material, or equipment pieces. You will interpret experimental data and present conclusions to your supervisor, write comprehensive protocols and reports in English, and adhere to the quality system requirements and ensure GMP and GDP standards. Additionally, you will maintain laboratory reagents, materials, and equipment as directed, including obtaining such items and maintaining them in good operating order.
What you'll bring :
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific field (chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences) with 3-5 years’ experience or Master’s degree with 1-3 years’ experience or PhD with 0-3 years’ experience. Must have expertise and proven understanding in areas associated with mass spectroscopy and chromatography (gas and/or liquid)
- Communication skills to build relationships across functional and geographical boundaries and present technical results/plans to technical and non-technical teams.
- Personal responsibility and independent ownership of analysis and results.
- A good understanding of ICH guidelines and cGxP practice
- Must be able to challenge the status quo and demonstrate a pro-active attitude
- Ability to adapt to changes and to work in a team environment.
- Ability to identify risks, issues and opportunities and communicate to supervisor
- Fluent spoken, read and written English is a must.
