Your Role
EF is seeking a detail orientated, organised and empathetic individual to join our summer team as a Welfare Coordinator, at our Brighton International Langauge Campus. In this vital role, you’ll ensure the wellbeing of our students, offering support for a variety of needs while creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
This position is ideal for those looking to enhance their customer service and operational skills while gaining experience within an international organization. You’ll collaborate with different departments, assist students with welfare concerns, and play an active role in shaping a safe, positive and inclusive campus atmosphere.

This role is on a full time (5 days per week), fixed term basis running throughout July & August 2025, with permanent job opportunities available at the end of summer.
Responsibilities
- To support the Student Services Manager in delivering excellent welfare provision and outstanding customer service
- To support students in their daily life and enable them to achieve the best experience and highest learning possible
- To ensure standards of accreditation bodies are maintained
- To ensure all health and safety requirements are adhered to
- Daily attendance checks
- Take particular interest in all aspects of school life which affect U18 year old students
- Managing medical appointment bookings and accompanying students to them
- Escalating welfare concerns to manager/sales offices where appropriate
- Ensuring welfare information is clearly displayed around the school
- Updating welfare information in Student Handbook
- Assisting Student Services Manager with welfare induction to new students
- Participating in student feedback activities such as first week evaluations and student council meetings – following up on issues raised
- Ensuring a welcoming environment to all students with any welfare queries
- Supporting Student Services Manager in training any temporary or intern staff in the team
- Shares the emergency telephone rota with other staff
Requirements
- Highly motivated, energetic, positive
- Mature, common sense approach
- Excellent customer service skills, communication & people skills
- Enjoys working in a busy & varied service environment
- Highly organised with attention to detail
- Comfortable around teens and young adults
- Ability to handle difficult situations with ease & remain calm & positive under pressure
- Flexible attitude to work and creative problem solver
- All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
- Legally able to work in the UK at commencement of employment
