Are you looking to gain practical experience in a laboratory environment? We have an exciting internship opportunity in the Delivery Systems group of Givaudan's Taste & Wellbeing Division. Join our team and work on emulsions and other encapsulation systems related topics, contributing to the formulation and characterization of liquid and solid delivery systems.

Your Role
As an intern in the Delivery Systems group, you will work on multiple aspects of emulsions and encapsulation systems. This internship is limited to 6 months and is based in Kemptthal. You will report directly to a Scientist.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Stabilize emulsion droplets and prevent coalescence, agglomeration, creaming, or sedimentation using emulsifiers.
- Test natural emulsifiers for food applications, ranging from beverages to dairy drinks and margarine.
- Utilize different equipment to prepare emulsions.
- Create dry and solid delivery systems using different encapsulation technologies.
- Test solid delivery systems under simulated conditions.
- Employ techniques to characterize emulsions and solid delivery systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues from different Givaudan sites through email, telephone, and video conference.
You have:
- Started working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in Food Science, Process Technology, or Chemical Engineering.
- Some experience in process technology, emulsions, or analytical methods used in the flavour, food, and related industries (preferred).
- Practical working skills and enthusiasm for hands-on activities, such as running tests and experiments, operating and cleaning pilot plant equipment.
- An interest in developing technical solutions.
- Good oral and written English skills.
