As a "Quality Engineer", you will lead the Quality role and deliverables for key Nespresso innovation projects. You will ensure quality success criteria expected by our customer and consumers are met and in line with the Nestlé Management System.
In this position you will have the opportunity to be in close contact with R&D, manufacturing support and Labs teams internally and will support Line validation both at Supplier level outside of Switzerland and while integrating the line in Nespresso operational landscape in our 3 production centers.
You will be the guardian of quality, compliance and control performance in those projects, and you will ensure first time rights deliverables and continuous improvement.

A day in the life of a Quality Engineer
- Manages the quality qualification and validation of new lines and equipment both internally and with suppliers
- Actively participates in new products and new packaging materials implementation
- Lead and follow up with improvement projects
- Leads problem solving methodology with the aim of implementing corrective actions for continuous improvement
- Ensure Compliance in the frame of his/her projects with internal and external standards.
- Run suppliers Quality audits and assessment
- Define Defects catalogues and related AQL with R&D and Manufacturing support teams
- Implement and maintain Statistical Process Control principles in manufacturing processes
- Develop and implement QMS, Define required Quality standards, Quality control plans and SOP. Support their implementation with production centers while providing training, coaching and audit.
- Actively participates in the TPM initiative and improves quality and its consistency/homogeneity (0 defects)
- Follows and promote safety, health, environmental and hygiene standards and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
What would make you successful
- Engineering degree in a relevant field
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in quality for R&D, operations and/or production lines
- Experience in relevant industry (food, pharmaceutical, etc.)
- Good knowledge in statistics (Qstats)
- Significant exposure working in projects and support activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English, French is a strong plus
