Your mission
The Commentator Liaison Officer is a vital role in supporting the Commentators of the different broadcasters in every needs. This position involves working closely with the Heads of Delegation and Commentators in supervising the commentators' lounge and in organizing, administration and various commentator related tasks for the production phase (08. - 17. May 2025). The ideal candidate will bring expertise in production environment and is experienced in close surrounding of broadcast production teams.
The role will have the following responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Coordinate all commentator related activities between the host broadcaster, the EBU, the provider of the technical services and the individual delegations
- Brief and assist participants in the commentator briefings and consult on the structure and content of the briefing agendas
- Plan and moderate the commentators' briefings
- Offer assistance to commentators with their research and provide factual, neutral and interesting material from the legacy of the contest and from the current event
- Supervise the day to day running of the commentators' lounge and consult in the selection and scheduling of volunteers for the commentator areas
- Liaise with the representatives of the host city on commentator related questions
- Advise on the logistics of providing the national language interviewer for the winners' press conference on stage, and if required, escort the interviewer to their pick-up point
Your profile
- Experience in broadcast production, especially within live entertainment or other fast paced productions
- Technical Knowledge: Computer skills and adapatabilitiy to learn and handle with new softwares
- Problem Solving and high flexibility
- Fluency in English: Mandatory for effective and clear communication with the commentators from all over the world
