Our client is looking for a Legal Counsel to join their Claims department for a permanent contract as soon as possible.
A multinational company based in Geneva.
Description
- Identify the origin of the loss and inform concerned parties.
- Handle and investigate incidents and claims regarding the cargoes (especially reefer cargoes).
- Negotiate claim settlements with customers and different third parties.
- Provide legal assistance (with support from lawyers) when necessary.
- Manage incidents with a view of mitigate losses and save costs.
- Assist the manager with various tasks.
- Coordinate with insurers, experts, lawyers and with other internal departments (logistics, operations, commercial etc.).
Profile
- Degree in law.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in claim's management.
- Knowledge of maritime law or shipping or transportation business world.
- Self-motivation.
- Used to work in a stressful or demanding environment.
- Ability to work in a Team and autonomously.
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.
