Job Title: Project Manager- Manufacturing Sciences
Location: Warrington
Position Summary:
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Project Manager II for our Technical Operations team in the manufacturing site at Warrington, UK! You'll collaborate with Program and Product Management leadership to lead with excellence. The Project Manager II is responsible for leading and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously. They will handle the introduction of new products, site-to-site transfers, and sustaining engineering projects across our genetic science product portfolio. They will also embrace continuous improvement to drive efficiency gains at the site.
Responsibilities
As a Project Manager II, you will:
- Coordinate a professional team of operational staff and scientists through design transfer and product lifecycle management.
- Serve as a knowledge leader supporting the Warrington Technical Operations team.
- Review and write PCP deliverables for checkpoints to ensure flawless execution.
- Assess workloads and priorities, implementing them in alignment with business goals.
- Resolve operational problems swiftly to minimise delays, advancing issues to relevant on-site and off-site partners when necessary.
- Write and review new product documentation, incorporating QA and manufacturing input, such as SOPs, Risk Assessments, and spreadsheet validation.
- Coordinate validation/verification processes, risk assessments, and other departmental change control activities.
- Coordinate the smooth transfer of new products into the manufacturing site.
- Ensure that new products, site-to-site transfers, and sustaining projects adhere closely to site Quality Manual Systems and regulatory requirements.
- Challenge the status quo, driving continuous improvement to improve efficiency and align operations with evolving business needs!
- Support and align with safety standards and the hazardous waste management program, including safe hazardous waste handling and maintaining good housekeeping.
Requirements:

- Experience in project management of life-science products or medical device products.
- Outstanding leadership abilities, with the capacity to coordinate and encourage a team with varied strengths.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation.
- Demonstrated capability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
