Division & Team
Private Label Solutions is the B2B arm of Expedia Group. We open up our supply and innovative technology to businesses looking to take on the world of travel. These businesses, sometimes referred to as our ‘demand partners’, include global financial institutions (e.g. AMEX), corporate managed travel, offline travel agents (e.g. Flight Centre), global travel suppliers (e.g. Delta) and many more.
This role sits in Expedia Group’s Data & Artificial Intelligence (AI) organization, where you will create and deliver innovative machine learning products and services for our thriving B2B business. Your expertise and passion for AI innovation will drive the development of industry-leading solutions, enhancing the experience of our demand partners and millions of travelers worldwide each year.
In this role, you will:

Lead the AI product development lifecycle from ideation to launch

Engage with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and work with machine learning scientists and engineers to translate them into technical specifications

Build and communicate a roadmap of planned and potential work

Manage the AI development team's backlog and drive delivery end-to-end through agile methodologies

Own proactive risk & dependency management

Keep partners and leaders informed of progress or changes to scope and project schedule

Monitor and analyze product performance, using data to drive continuous improvement and optimization

Define and report key results and performance metrics

Assess bottlenecks in work processes to streamline and simplify workflow
Experience and qualifications:
-
You have a master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Physics, Engineering, Data Science or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience

Solid background and experience in driving delivery of sophisticated AI products or services end-to-end

Passion, expertise, and experience in AI, machine learning, and building complex software systems

Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving projects to completion

Ability to take complex business problems and break them down into simple and elegant solutions

Experience in building clear, concise, and well-structured functional material (e.g. policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations etc.)

Ability to communicate a compelling rationale and narrative to peers and partners about the products and services produced by the team

Familiarity with fundamental business, economics, mathematics, statistics, and computer science concepts

Previous experience as a machine learning scientist or AI product manager is a big plus
