Senior Financial Analyst – US Medical/GI Rare

About the role:
The Senior Financial Analyst-US Medical/GI Rare will assist the US Medical/GI Rare Finance Lead and Senior Director in leading financial plan and close cycles for income statement areas of responsibility. This role will lead financial planning and analysis support for assigned functions and manage monthly financial close and variance analysis for assigned functions.
How you will contribute:

Lead semi-annual financial planning processes for assigned US Medical and GI Rare teams, resulting in highly accurate submissions including cost center detail, management presentation summaries and supporting analyses as required.

Serve as financial representative on key cross-functional teams and proactively provide advisory services.

Drive the development and use of the financial planning system for US Medical Function and GI Rare team. Create, leverage and deploy financial models for own use and those of other finance staff. Document models and processes and work to creatively and continuously improve the planning process.

Manage the monthly financial close process including identifying and resolving discrepancies in actual transactions in SAP versus planned activity and instructing accounting to initiate correcting entries as necessary, on an ongoing basis.

Work with local and regional finance teams to develop detailed explanation for variances between actual and plan on a monthly basis for assigned functional areas.

Design and distribute monthly reporting packages to senior management, summarizing functional area financial results. Design and implement solutions to streamline processes and create operational efficiencies. Educate functional management on the use of reporting tools and finance concepts.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree required Finance or Accounting preferred.

2+ years of finance experience.

Previous budgeting/planning/monthly variance analysis experience.

Strong analytical skills with demonstrated business impact in previous position(s).

Strong computer software skills (Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desired:

MBA or CPA.

Previous experience in healthcare industry.

Financial planning/reporting systems & Business Intelligence experience (e.g. SAP, Data Ware- house Program, HFM).

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$84,000.00 - $132,000.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
