We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Communications Manager (1 year contract).
Principal Responsibilities
A communication manager reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, Singapore, the role will focus on the following areas:
- Building and protecting HSBC Singapore’s brand and reputation in line with the Bank’s overall purpose and values
- Delivering an integrated internal communications programme that connects HSBC Singapore’s bank-wide employees with the bank’s ambitions and strategy, as well as increasing the profile of HSBC Singapore to key internal senior stakeholders within the wider HSBC Group
- Reinforce HSBC Singapore’s position as a leading international bank serving ASEAN, focused on digital and sustainability and an employer of choice
- Developing strategy to establish strong media relationships
- Responsible for operational effectiveness and business management for the Singapore Communications function
Responsibilities:
- Employee Communications: develop and execute communications programme that is engaging and creative, ensuring our teams feel connected to our strategy and thematic priorities; manage change, and embed culture. Deliver captivating internal content, campaigns, and news to our HSBC Singapore employees and promote wins on global channels. Optimise and manage internal comms channels e.g. newsletter, intranet, digital channels, videos, townhalls. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications strategies and initiatives
- Leadership Communications: support internal and external engagements for HSBC leaders. This can include the writing of speeches, opinion articles, internal notes, social media
- External communications: Build and maintain strong media relationship programme with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers in the industry. Monitor media coverage of HSBC and its competitors, and provide timely updates to senior leadership
- Enterprise themes: Develop communications strategy for enterprise themes which support HSBC Singapore’s business strategy e.g. Sustainability, Digital, Employer brand, Singapore as a gateway to ASEAN
- Business management: Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity for the Communications function
