As a Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in managing financial workflows, optimizing processes, and ensuring accurate reporting across our group. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, drive automation initiatives, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders. Success in this role requires a strong foundation in accounting, a keen eye for process improvements, and a hands-on approach.
Your Mission:
- You take ownership of accounts payable and receivable management, ensuring accurate transaction processing, reconciliations, controls, and provisions across the group.
- You continuously optimize financial processes, adapting them to organizational changes while driving automation and digitalization initiatives.
- You execute payment and collection processes with precision and persistence to maintain optimal liquidity and working capital management.
- You support accounting-related requests, ensuring timely adjustments and corrections for accurate and complete financial data.
- You ensure high-quality postings in asset, bank, customer, and vendor subledgers while enforcing financial policies and controls.
- You maintain accurate and compliant cost accounting entries and VAT-related transactions.
- You identify inefficiencies and implement automation solutions using modern tools such as data load packages and workflow management systems.
- You prepare ad hoc reports for internal and external financial reporting using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
You:
- Hold a commercial apprenticeship with further education in accounting or a Bachelor's degree with a focus on finance, accounting, or controlling.
- Have 2–4 years of experience in financial accounting, controlling, or financial audit.
- Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Show curiosity about modern accounting systems and software.
- Take a hands-on, solution-oriented, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI or automation tools is a plus.
- Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with finance and business teams.
- Communicate fluently in English; German and other languages are a plus.
