We are hiring a Junior Accountant to join our established Finance team based in Lausanne. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for the monthly closing process ensuring a timely and accurate close in conjunction with the month-end timetable and group reporting timetable.
- Full responsibility and control of daily activities relating to all Accounts Payable and Bank transactions; including but not limited to invoice processing, weekly payment runs, expense claim management, credit card control, monitoring and allocation of daily bank processing through cash allocation.
- Monitor, process and record AP Invoices
- Monitor, control and maintain quality of Supplier Data
- Payment of all Suppliers on a weekly basis
- Assist in the preparation of information required for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in VAT declaration and reconciliation
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Assist in the Annual Budgeting process
- Review, propose and implement process improvements
Qualifications
- Junior Accountant/Controller with a proven track record and work experience or a similar role
- Knowledge of the Abacus software advantageous
- Good Excel skills, pivots and lookups
- Attention to detail and conscientious
- Flexible and focused on solutions
- Excellent organisational skills and interpersonal skills
- Focussed on time management with the ability to prioritise
- Fluent in French with a high level of English
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/Controlling or related field
