We are looking for a PMO Lead for Innovation Projects who will be responsible for establishing and managing the Project Management Office (PMO) with a focus on Agile methodologies tailored for innovation-driven projects. This role ensures the effective application of Agile principles to support the development and execution of innovative projects, driving the successful delivery of new products, services, and solutions while optimizing processes and resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities include:

Agile PMO Strategy for Innovation

Develop and implement an Agile PMO strategy specifically designed for innovation projects, aligning with the organization's strategic goals and innovation objectives.

Create and enforce Agile frameworks and best practices tailored to the needs of innovation projects, including roles, ceremonies, and processes.

Ensure integration of Agile principles into the PMO’s governance structure to support iterative development, rapid experimentation, and adaptation.

Agile Methodology Integration

Guide the adoption and execution of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) in innovation projects to enhance flexibility, collaboration, and speed.

Support project teams in implementing Agile practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and continuous feedback loops.

Promote Agile values and principles, fostering a culture that embraces experimentation, learning, and innovation.

Innovation Project Management
-
Oversee the management of innovation projects, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and are delivered effectively using Agile practices.

Implement Agile tools and techniques to manage and prioritize innovation projects, such as product backlogs, roadmaps, and iterative development cycles.

Monitor and report on project performance, including progress, milestones, and outcomes, using Agile metrics and KPIs.

Resource Management & Optimization

Optimize resource allocation for innovation projects by applying Agile principles, ensuring teams have the necessary skills and capacity.

Develop and maintain Agile resource management systems to track availability, allocation, and utilization specific to innovation projects.

Resolve resource conflicts and support project teams in adapting to changing requirements and priorities

Risk & Issue Management

Establish Agile risk management practices for innovation projects, focusing on early identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks.

Support project teams in addressing issues and impediments using Agile frameworks, ensuring timely resolution and transparency.

Monitor risk and issue trends across innovation projects to identify and address potential systemic challenges.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

Define and track Agile KPIs specific to innovation projects, such as velocity, cycle times, and innovation impact.

Generate and present performance reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, progress, and results of innovation projects.

Conduct Agile retrospectives and reviews to assess project performance, gather feedback, and implement improvements.

Stakeholder Communication & Engagement

Communicate PMO and Agile initiatives effectively to all stakeholders involved in innovation projects, ensuring alignment and transparency.

Facilitate Agile meetings, including sprint reviews, planning sessions, and stakeholder demos, to ensure active engagement and collaboration.

Manage stakeholder expectations by providing clear, actionable information on project status, risks, and achievements

Process Improvement & Innovation

Identify and implement process improvements within Agile practices for innovation projects, leveraging feedback and performance data.

Lead initiatives to enhance Agile processes, using insights from innovation projects to refine practices and optimize results.

Encourage experimentation and innovation, applying Agile principles to test new approaches and drive project success.

You will also need the following qualifications:

Proven experience in Agile project management and leading a PMO focused on innovation or similar high-impact projects.

Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and their application to innovation projects.

Strong influencing and team management skills, with experience in guiding and mentoring Agile teams and project managers.

Proficiency with **Agile tools** (e.g., Jira, Trello) and project management systems
-
Excellent communication skills, with experience in stakeholder management, reporting, and Agile facilitation.

Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)**, **Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)**, or similar certification is preferred.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Innovation, or a related field; Master’s degree or advanced qualifications are a plus.
