Junior IT Service Desk Technician
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior IT Service Desk Technician to join our dynamic IT team. This position will involve providing both remote and on-site technical support to students, staff, and faculty, ensuring a seamless IT experience across our campus. You will work closely with the IT Service Support Manager to address IT issues and contribute to maintaining efficient technological operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide remote and on-site technical support for both Windows and Mac environments.
- Manage IT support requests and incidents using the Service Desk ticketing system.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain PC hardware and software.
- Support audio/video equipment for classrooms, conference rooms, and remote teaching setups.
- Configure new hardware through Intune and maintain up-to-date inventory records.
- Track and manage equipment, including consumables and hardware spares.
- Follow up on IT repairs and keep users informed on the status.
- Coordinate and manage purchase orders from request to delivery.
- Contribute to knowledge base documentation and provide training for staff and students.
- Troubleshoot basic network issues and test updates before deployment.
Requirements:
- IT Technician apprenticeship / CFC or equivalent qualification.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices (a plus).
- Excellent customer service skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Good command of English and French, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Available during key school periods (check-in and bank holidays).
