For this position based in Vevey (VD), the future employee will be required to travel for around 60% to 80% of the working time.
Your mission:
- Supporting engineering departments in the preparation of inspection and test plans.
- Contributing to supplier manufacturing kick-offs.
- Monitoring the progress of supplier manufacturing in collaboration with the purchasing team.
- Checking and validation of in-process quality documentation.
- Planning of intermediate and final witness inspections by suppliers.
- Carrying out witness inspections, if relevant in the company of inspectors from our customers and ensuring related communication and reporting of outcomes.
- Prompt and proactive notification of in the event of delays or non-conformities.
- Ensuring that non-conformities and supplier deviation requests are timely and correctly documented.
- Tasks follow-up to ensure deviations reach closed status.
- Contribution in supplier audits and assessments.
Your profile:
- Education as Mechanical Engineer Bachelor's Degree (HES or equivalent).
- At least 5+ years of experience in quality control in the electro-mechanical industry
- Knowledge of welding, forging, casting, and machining processes and technologies
- NDT certification according to EN ISO 9712 Level II in PT, MT, UT methods is a plus.
- Auditor certification according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 is a plus.
- Knowledge of standard IT, engineering, and SAP tools.
- Fluent English is a must, knowledge of French is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - easily collaborates with others.
- Flexible, customer-oriented, and solution-oriented.
- Willing to travel around 60% of time, mainly in Europe.
