The Tanz Akademie Zürich, taZ, the professional ballet school for classical dance in Switzerland, located in the Department of Performing Arts and Film at the Zurich University of the Arts, trains young, national and international talents to become professional stage dancers as part of its study programme (foundation and advanced studies).
The Dance Academy Zurich is looking for a new teacher for the foundation and advanced studies programmes as of 1 August 2025.
Ballet teacher: for classical male dance and classical pas de deux 80%
Your tasks
Your main task is to teach classical dance for men and pas de deux for all levels. In addition, you will also be involved in the organisation of the school's daily activities, in particular the preparation and execution of performances. Your responsibilities will include rehearsing classical and contemporary repertoire. That you would have also the skills to teach/rehearse in the BA and MA Dance Programmes is desirable.
Your profile
You have completed professional training in ballet pedagogy or possess an equivalent qualification. You also have many years of personal experience as a professional ballet dancer. As a ballet teacher, you have several years of teaching experience, working with students of all levels in professional education. You know how to motivate and inspire students with your specialised knowledge. You are familiar with class management and the associated tasks. We require excellent language skills in English and German for this role.
