Job Description
- As a part of Digital Strategic Alliances and Partnerships team in this global role, part of Chief Technology Officer’s organization, you help to ensure the excellence of Takeda’s digital products and services by leading strategic, enterprise-wide, innovation initiatives, and be accountable for their successful execution and impact on Takeda’s patients and business;
- You will have ownership of strategic initiatives and projects at Digital Strategic Alliances and Partnerships, Digital Product Excellence, and CTO Office from project planning to execution and completion. As project manager, you are responsible for ensuring the timely execution of the project, reshaping strategy and tactics to when necessary, and to lead and coordinate cross functional teams comprising Takeda employees, strategic partners, and vendors.
- Responsible to lead and/or coordinate digital health innovation co-creation projects with Takeda’s strategic partners;
- Responsible for digital innovation scouting digital infrastructure and vendors, as well as responsible to develop and manage internal service offering and lead selected search & evaluation projects. You will ensure Takeda has access to industry leading digital scouting and evaluation tools, and that Takeda is continuously improving our processes and tools to discover external digital innovation partners;
- Contribute as project manager to the execution of Takeda’s internal innovation programs that support and fund Takeda innovators across the enterprise.
- You contribute, with the team, to the building and sustaining digital and organizational infrastructure enabling Takeda’s digital innovation community of practice, responsibility of creating strategy and future vision for its development, as well as accountability for improving Takeda digital innovation culture and performance:
- Prepare high quality, actionable analysis and insights on targeted topics in written format and provide presentations and briefings to support executive decision making and wider Takeda digital communities.
- Contribute to our efforts to continuously improve and develop the service offering of competitive intelligence to ensure Takeda wide utilization of digital health competitive intelligence and analytic capabilities, including, but not limited to: Data, Digital & Technology leadership, Business Unit leadership, R&D and Medical Affairs.
- Contribute to Takeda’s efforts maintain updated competitive intelligence tracking key technology, industry and business trends, including targeted and continuously updated analysis of key sectors and companies.
- Support the team to build and strengthen cross-functional relationships with senior leadership across Takeda, and accountability that Digital Strategic Alliances and Partnerships innovation and partnership services and objectives meet the changing innovation needs of business units and functions, and that they are aligned with enterprise-wide innovation objectives;
- Ensure Takeda maintains updated competitive intelligence tracking key technology, industry and business trends, including targeted and continuously updated analysis of key sectors and companies.
- Collaborate across Takeda to understand and prioritize business intelligence and analysis needs, and proactively develop new case studies or improvements to digital business analysis processes and infrastructure.
- Support planning and executing external engagements with key communities and events with focus on strengthening Takeda strategic intelligence, scouting and partnerships.
- Support digital partnership deal flow by identifying and assessing new business opportunities and contribute to partner/build/buy decision making.
- Support the management of strategic partnership deal flow by assessing new partnerships, benchmarking, due diligence, business models, and partnership development;
Requirements:
- BA/BSc in business, science, technology or related field. MA/MSc is preferred.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in conducting business analysis in digital industries;
- Demonstrated experience in digital health or medical technologies is an advantage, as well as experience from venture capital, private equity, startups, innovation, or strategic partnerships;
- Demonstrated experience from planning and executing competitive landscape analysis that supports business development, as well as from industry leading scouting and business intelligence tools is required;
- Demonstrated experience from developing business plans and in business modelling, achieved e.g. from startup founding or new product development;
- Experience from crowdsourcing and open innovation is a plus:
- Advanced written and oral communication skills, and great people skills.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
108,500.00 - 170,500.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives.
