To complement the research activities of the laboratory of Prof. Jean-Yves Roignant, Center for Integrative Genomics (CIG), University of Lausanne, we are recruiting a PhD student to work on projects relating to the mechanisms of post-transcriptional gene regulation in brain development and function.

Your responsibilities
The main responsibility consists of conducting bioinformatic analysis to investigate how RNA modifications contribute to brain development and function. The impact of the alteration of several RNA modifications in human diseases are investigated with multi-pronged approaches that include (but are not restricted to) molecular and cellular biology, genomics and animal genetics. Knowledge in computational biology is required.
Full funding for the position is available, although application to personal, international fellowship programs are expected.
Your qualifications
Dynamic and dedicated scientist with a Master degree in bioinformatics. Critical thinker. Team player eager to participate in scientific discussions. Interest in developing your skills in bioinformatic analysis to decipher basic mechanisms in gene regulation.
