Who are we?
CARBAGAS AG, a company of the Air Liquide Group, produces and supplies high-quality gasses for industrial and medical application among others. In parallel, the company develops and settles tailored gas systems in technical terms. We are everywhere in your daily life and you do not see us! From the gas in your lemonade to the chip in your smartphone through the reduction of gas emission, we take part to our customers’ innovative development of applications.
How will you contribute and grow?
Carbagas is the Air Liquide entity in Switzerland, located in Gümligen close to Bern as well as in 5 sites across Switzerland. Air Liquide Austria is the local AL entity in Austria with its headquarter in Schwechat close to Vienna and local plants and offices as well across the country. Both countries share a Leadership team and several functions, just like the Communication Specialist. Carbagas has 350 employees, Air Liquide Austria 250.
The position is to cover both countries, but is based in Gümligen / Bern. Traveling to Austria, especially in the beginning to get to know the organization, is required.
Presentation of the team and business activities
Not really a team at local level, the community of Communication employees is virtual within the Central Europe Cluster.
In Switzerland, Carbagas operates in “Industrial Merchant” business mostly with a bit of Large Industry. Vitalaire CH is having 40 employees and operates for the healthcare business.
In Austria, Air Liquide also operates mostly in “Industrial Merchant” and there is also a small Large Industry part and Vitalaire AT serving the healthcare business.

Organization, participation and administrative support of management events in Austria & Switzerland (e.g. leadership meetings...)

Editorial responsibility for the news section of our internal and external media

Strategic (further) development and editorial support of our social media channels

Organization and moderation of internal events (digital and physical)

Supporting the business in the implementation of internal and external (marketing and communication) campaigns

Support the Crisis Management from communication perspective (internal and external)

Degree with specialization in communication / social media / PR

Or business education with specialization in Communication
Soft and Hard Skills:

Autonomy

Enjoy working independently with texts, photos and videos

Enthusiasm for current topics, such as the energy transition, and for preparing them for different target groups in internal media and social media

User knowledge of current digital communication tools (Google Workspace, content management systems) is an advantage, but not a prerequisite

Willingness to regularly travel to Austria and Germany for several days
