Bringing a deep understanding of the emerging science, the key objective of the medical affairs team in Switzerland is to identify clinical care gaps and scientific gaps of health care providers (HCPs), and to assemble the evidence, hence, enabling cross-functional teams to focus on programs which are relevant to HCPs and have the biggest impact on patient outcomes.
We are looking for a MEDICAL TRAINEE for a one-year internship in the Cardiometabolic Health team.
Responsibilities & tasks:
Medical Trainee to support the Cardiometabolic Health medical affairs team on execution of its tasks. With guidance from the Cardiometabolic Health medical affairs lead and team members, the medical trainee closely collaborates with the respective team members and with local cross-functional brand teams members (i.e., medical, marketing, price reimbursement and access) to better understand the role of medical affairs in this therapeutic area.
A medical trainee:
- Develops a good knowledge of the relevant therapeutic areas, the key scientific data related to the products and the main competitors to support medical strategies with guidance from the Cardiometabolic Health medical affairs lead and medical/senior medical advisors.
- Understands the competitive landscape efforts in Switzerland, including the science behind the products, and the value needs of patients, caregivers and HCPs.
- Supports the development and implementation of medical programs, partners cross-functionally for pre-launch and launch activities of new products including new indications and line extensions (NILEX) and helps to implement Multi Channel Engagement (MCE) tactics. This includes but is not limited to the preparation and coordination of medical meetings/events, the development/adaption/review/correction of scientific and promotional documents.
- Supports the entire Cardiometabolic Health medical team with the creation and management of purchase orders.
- Participates to the medical team’s governance (locally and internationally).
Qualifications:
- University degree/ Master-degree or PhD in medicine, pharmacy, life science, or health economics
- Technical skills: MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel), Outlook, MS Team.

Location:
Eli Lilly (Suisse) SA is based in Geneva. This position is offered on a fixed-term basis for a duration of 12 months. Contract subject to a valid work permit in Switzerland
